FAQ's
I have never done yoga before. Will I be able to keep up with everyone in the class?
No experience is necessary to practice yoga. My classes are suitable for all abilities and I provide variations for each posture to cater for different levels, fitness and injuries. For each pose you can decide which variation you would prefer to do. I also provide corrections to ensure you safely make your way in and out of the poses.
What shall I wear to the classes?
It is best to wear loose clothing such as leggings and a t shirt or other unrestrictive clothing. Yoga is practiced bare foot to avoid slipping. Socks and warmer clothing can be worn for the relaxation (Savasana) at the end of the class.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
Mats, blocks and yoga belts are provided for the first classes however if you become a regular yogi it is recommended that you purchase your own yoga mat and props.
Can I still practice yoga if I have any health conditions?
Many health conditions can be relieved by the regular practice of yoga and I modify postures for those with specific ailments/health conditions. It is however always best to get medical advice from your doctor first. All new students will be asked to complete a medical declaration form.
Can I eat before a class?
It is best to practice yoga on an empty stomach. After eating a heavy meal, it is recommended to leave around 2-3 hours before you practice yoga.
